Alamo Beer Releases First Summer Ale

July 8, 2016

The July heat has arrived in Texas and with it comes a Summer Ale from Alamo Beer Company. ALAMO Summer Ale, released July fourth weekend, has become the company’s first summer seasonal offered in bottle and on tap. The refreshing brew is now available in bars, restaurants and retailers throughout the state of Texas. Vacationers to the Alamo City can also enjoy ALAMO Summer Ale and other styles on tap at the brewery located in downtown San Antonio.

ALAMO Summer Ale is brewed with Hallertauer and Czech Saaz hops and serves well ice cold. Brew Master, James Hudec, describes the beer as ”easy drinking German-style ale,” also noting, “the Cologne yeast adds a floral, peppery aroma and the Czech hops are powerful and spicy.” Hudec concludes that, “the creamy, white head looks like ice cream in the hot August sun.” Consumers should expect a light, crisp and crushable beer, perfect for our summer season.

“Alamo Beer Company has built beers around our traditional German-style brewing methods and introduced beer enthusiasts to a variety of easy to drink session beers. Our Kölsch, the ALAMO Summer Ale, is exactly that. It’s a great way to cool off underneath the Texas sun,” states Zac Harris, Director of Sales for Alamo Beer Company.

Available until the end of August, 2016.
